"Just because a thing can't be done doesn't mean it can't be did. We all look into mirrors and see phantoms. Our error is our Eros. Why is there something instead of nothing? The answer is reckless and surreal.”

Dean Young

Director & Cinematographer

Zachariah Williams is a Director and DP born and raised in Wolfforth, TX, where the dirt sticks to your walls, the creases of your boots, and in your heart.

He found a love for camera work as most others do, shooting cotton fields or pretty friends in downtown alleyways. He saved up for new lenses with a fever. He had also grown up with a penchant for horror films, reeled in by anything running contrary to the straight-lacism of West Texas.

He started his career photographing local metal venues and saw some success with the surprisingly dynamic scene in Lubbock. Then he lit out, heading up short films through Dark Broiler Productions during a foray at Western Michigan University.

More recently, Zachariah has worked at the University of Texas as a live video director for KVRX, shooting personal analog projects in the meantime. He also manages Cinemaker, a non-profit studio that provides career access to filmmakers in Austin, where he lives now, tracking red dust through galleries and premieres and sets of his own.

Zachariah Williams is available for directing, cinematography, film photography, and beer drinking.
